 There was Kerala Blasters’ party as they won their Hero Indian Super League opener against East Bengal FC. they won by  3 against 1 at a packed Nehru Stadium here on Friday.

Kerala Blasters won the match by 3 to 1 over East Bengal FC in the opening match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, here on Friday. Adrian Luna's opener and Ivan Kaliuzhnyi's placed their studding performance in the second half that helped in to secure a 3-1 win for the Blasters. On the other hand,  Alex Lima placed one goal. Both teams had opportunities to break the deadlock in the first half. In the seventh minute, Lima cut onto his left foot and attempted take a goal into the bottom left corner. Gill was at full stretch to palm the Braziaian's shot behind for a corner. Three minutes later, at the other end, Apostolos Giannou found himself at the end of a sublime cross from Jessel Carneiro. However, the Australian could not keep his shot on target.



Coming in as a 79th minute substitute, replacing forward Apostolos, Ivan Kaliuzhnyi entered to make his mark and make a dream debut. Minutes after arriving, the 24-year-old, who had come on loan from FK Oleksandriya two months ago, made a quick run from the centre, dodged past a couple of defenders and cooly sent the ball in. Everything was over in a jiffy and Ivan made it look all so easy.

In the 42nd moment, Luna tried Kamaljit Singh with a freekick. The ball skipped clumsily directly before Kamaljit, who figured out how to repel it behind the objective and just surrendered a corner. The Blasters kicked it up a score in the last part. Five minutes in, Giannou was denied after his redirected strike was splendidly saved by Kamaljit. The East Bengal FC shot-plug was grinding away again only three minutes after the fact as he obstructed Luna's short proximity exertion at his close to post.

The halt was broken in the 72nd moment when Harmanjot Khabra tracked down Luna in the crate with a wonderful long ball from his own half.
